Full of challenges, ups and downs, but how else do you grow and become stronger in life??!  so overall it’s been a GREAT year!!

Since our last blog, there has a been a few changes I wish to highlight:

Firstly, We have re-branded and changed our name (tag line) ‘Inspired Apparel’ to ‘Clothing The Nakid’.

We believe the name compliments the new direction and vision perfectly. So now with every PVBS apparel YOU purchase, YOU fully clothe a kid in need! In July this year we were able to clothe an entire village in Cambodia.

Currently our tally is 241 and our next trip is in Feb 2012, our target is to provide clothing for 400 kids. With your help and support we can achieve this, so this Christmas, we encourage you all to include a PVBS T shirt as gift and help us, help others.

We’re so pumped! It’s absolute honour and a blessing to give hope to these precious kid’s in Cambodia.

Last week, the ever active and dashing young co-founder of PVBS; Eric Agyeman, was out and about with his friend and mentor Sam Cawthorn (2009 Young Australian of the Year Recipient – Tasmania) who happened to be going past Fox FM’s studios in Melbourne to catch up with Hamish and Andy. Eric was along for the ride, got the opportunity to hang put with the boys and throw a couple of Tees their way. Safe to say both Hamish and Andy were pretty stoked about the tees, so much so in fact that they decided to wear the Tees while filming The 7pm Project last friday night!

Hamish is wearing the ‘Real Men’ tee on the left and Andy’s rocking the ‘Just Walk’ tee on the right. Pretty sure you guys need to head on over to the store and grab one for yourself! Hey all!

So a little while ago, we had the opportunity to produce a little video promo for ourselves, just to do something different, and for a bit of funsies. We had our good friend Ailen Palmieri of Like Paul Productions dream up, write, direct, produce, edit and cut the whole thing! Keagan, our resident musical genius and designer, contributed the backing track…the kid has got some serious talent! The idea was to just showcase our fun side and display what we’re about.

It was a great shoot, and our good friends/models we’re more than willing to get silly in the process. So check it out and enjoy!

So we wanted to share something with you that’s been on our hearts for a while, and also inform you as to the direction in which PVBS is travelling. In recent times, fair trade and human rights have become topics on the tips of everyone’s tongues, especially in regards to clothing and the fashion industry. When we started PVBS, we started it with an idea to create modern, fashionable, positively inspired clothing, and help give back to the people who have supported and spoken into our lives so greatly. So it’s safe to say that producing clothing that is of the highest standards and quality was key, but not at the expense of our ethics and morals.

PVBS is proud to announce that all of our Tee’s are now produced under WRAP certified processes and environments. What this means is that the facilities in which the T-shirts we use are made, are kept to the strictest of standards to ensure fair treatment, fair pay, good working conditions and materials used are ethical. No sweat shops here! We acknowledge that human mis-treatment is a grave problem in our world, and even in our own backyard of Australia, not only in developing countries, and we want to contribute in any way we can to help progress this change. Hey all!

It certainly has been a while hasn’t it? We just thought we’d update with you with some stuff that’s been happening recently, one thing of which was the ‘Down With The King’ event that took place on the 6th of August. Down With The King is a Melbourne based event set up in 2007 to bring the Gospel to this generation through urban music and dance. It featured various gospel and christian hip hop artists from around Australia and even international.

PVBS had the privilege of being an official sponsor at this years event, and it was amazing meeting and working with some incredibly gifted and talented people. We had the opportunity to meet This’l, a Hip Hop artist from the US, who gave up some valued time from his crazy schedule to perform at the event.

Today the PVBS Team set out into the great CBD of Melbourne City to do the photoshoot for our latest series of T-Shirts. Needless to say it was an awesome day, with great weather, great lighting and great people helping out. We had our trusted and creative genius friend Zaldy Infante along to capture the shots, PVBS Dream Team member Keagan and all-round good looking guy Josh Scott along for the modelling. Rachel Lee, our great new designer was present, getting a feel of how PVBS operates is business (very casually at best ).

I have recently acquired a new toy; a White Pentax K-X DSLR with a 17-55mm Lens and a Sigma 70-300mm Telephoto lens. For those of you who aren’t familiar with camera talk, its basically a camera with a really big lens on it. Makes me look professional, keyword being used there is ‘look’. I decided to take it along for the ride and document some behind the scenes stuff while Zaldy and the models did their thang. Hope you enjoy!

It’s freebie time! Now i know we haven’t really given away anything for free yet, so this is a first, but its still awesome and oh so ‘phresh!’
While attending a high-powered business meeting earlier in the week, an idea was placed in my head by a very awesome guy called Brett Gill (of Planetshakers Church). The following is a result of that idea, which i just HAD to put together as i couldnt get it out of my head. So we present to you the first ever PVBS wallpaper for 2010 (with plenty more random stuff to come…hopefully). It’s so inspiring that you may even see it on a T-shirt sometime soon *wink wink*
